What an incredible year it has been! 2022 saw enough new launches and collaborations to keep Tamagotchi fans’ hands busy month after month. As we gear up for another year of Tamagotchi fun, we want to celebrate all the milestones that made fans raise, nurture, train, slay, party, and play throughout this unforgettable year!
It’s because of our loyal Tamagotchi fans we’re able to make each year bigger and BIGGER, and while there are several surprises to look forward to in 2023, let’s take a trip down memory lane and revisit what made this year so special.
A New Year of Fun!
In 2022, Original Tamagotchi had fans looking to change up their style covered with three new shells to revamp their collections as well as the launch of our 25th Anniversary device! If that wasn’t enough, Tamagotchi Nano had two very exciting collaboration announcements to help fans fuel their fandoms: Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story Tamagotchi and TinyTAN Tamagotchi!
Spring
The warmer weather and end of winter is always worth celebrating, but Tamagotchi fans were given a new device to really get the party started. The Tamagotchi Pix Party put a celebratory twist on the Tamagotchi Pix experience, offering fans new ways to play and host events for their favorite characters. Jujutsu Kaisen fans were treated to new devices and Original Tamagotchi continued to allow fans’ collections to bloom with new Spring shells!
Summer
Original Tamagotchi launched three new shells perfect for the sun months to kick off the season and TinyTAN launched a fun new way to show off your fandom with limited edition HugMy Tamagotchi figures. Fans got a glimpse of the Tamagotchi fun to come when Bandai made a splash at San Diego Comic-Con with a firsthand look at upcoming collaborations and a chance to take home convention-exclusive Original Tamagotchi devices and merchandise! To wrap up an EVENTful summer, fans received an out of this world announcement: the STAR WARS Grogu Tamagotchi!
Fall
A new wave of Demon Slayer devices had fans fighting demons well before the Halloween season while Bandai continued their convention tour at New York Comic-Con! Original Tamagotchi also introduced three new shells for fans to FALL in love with: Dreamy, Chocolate, and Mametchi Comic Book!
Winter
With the exciting new Tamagotchi Nano collaborations, a reason to celebrate every day with Tamagotchi Pix Party, and new shells to make any collection shine, there’s a Tamagotchi device for absolutely everyone, which made it the perfect stocking stuffer for the holiday season! Now, fans will be able to play their way into 2023 knowing another year of Tamagotchi fun and surprises is right around the corner!
